Papercutting- Lightboxes for Home

My papercutting process begins with developing a composition inspired by nature, fantasy or people. I sketch or digitally design the artwork carefully balancing positive and negative space to ensure the piece remains structurally sound while maintaining an airy intricate appearance. Once the design is finalised I transfer it onto high quality paper and use a precision cutting tool to meticulously remove each section by hand every cut requires patience control and attention to detail. As the design emerges I focus on preserving clean edges and smooth connections between elements, creating a lace like effect that gives the art depth and movement. After cutting I mount the piece within a frame often incorporating transparent backgrounds and lighting to enhance the interplay of shadows texture and light. My work celebrates the beauty of nature transforming a single sheet of paper into an intricate sculptural artwork.
